GroupLock
Account deletion

Delete GroupLock without reinstalling the app.

This browser-accessible page explains how to request permanent GroupLock account deletion and what data the deletion process is designed to remove.

Delete your account online

If you can sign in, open GroupLock in your browser and use Settings → Delete account. You do not need to reinstall the mobile app to use the web deletion flow.

Password accounts confirm deletion with the current password. Accounts that rely only on Google or Microsoft sign-in must have signed in recently before GroupLock permits permanent deletion.

Sign in to review and delete your account

If you cannot sign in

Submit an Account Deletion support request. Provide the email address associated with the GroupLock account and enough information for the request to be reviewed. Do not send a password or payment-card number.

What the authenticated deletion flow removes

  • Your GroupLock profile, sessions, contacts, privacy lists/settings, invitation records tied to your account, messages sent by your account, notifications, supportable user-owned account records, and uploaded media stored under your GroupLock upload prefix.
  • Organizations and Family plans you own, after an impact warning is shown, because those spaces depend on the owner account.
  • OAuth/account links and other authentication records tied to the deleted user.

Billing cleanup

If your account has a GroupLock Stripe-managed subscription/customer profile, the authenticated deletion flow attempts to cancel the subscription and delete the Stripe customer before deleting the GroupLock user. If that external cleanup cannot be confirmed, GroupLock stops the destructive account deletion rather than knowingly leave silent recurring billing.

Native app-store subscriptions, once enabled, will also need to follow the cancellation/deletion procedures required by the applicable store and will be documented in this page before those purchase paths launch.

Data that may remain

Some safety records created by another person may remain after direct identifiers are removed or cleared—for example, a report about a deleted account may need to remain for safety integrity. GroupLock may also retain information where applicable law requires retention or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
